Exciting developments are afoot as planning is already underway on a newly awarded National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) funded grant to form the Inclusive App Accelerator. This new grant will annually support the creation of innovative mobile applications to assist and empower individuals with various disabilities. Application development will be overseen by our industry partner ArcTouch with business support from the IMPACT Center at the University of Pittsburgh. Partners converged on Bakery Square for our first informal planning meeting last month and our first call for proposals is expected on December 1st.
