The Inclusive App Accelerator (IAA) is a hub for app engineering and development that provides funding and support for the creation of Android/iOS applications that enhance the independence and autonomy of individuals with various disabilities.
Our primary goal is to develop and distribute at least 20 mobile apps over five years, averaging four applications per year. Each year, we will support four teams in developing and distributing mobile apps that will benefit individuals living with disabilities.
Our secondary goal is to promote the use of low-code and no-code (LCNC) platforms for mobile app development, focusing on addressing accessibility challenges within these technologies and providing training for citizen developers with limited coding experience including individuals with disabilities and their care partners and practitioners.
We are committed to a development process that prioritizes user-centered, accessibility-first design principles while embracing an iterative approach that ensures continuous improvement and responsiveness to user feedback. Our process ensures that our project and apps remain adaptable and relevant, addressing current needs while anticipating and adapting to future technological advancements.
