Several researchers in the Accessible SmartTech Research Group were in Anaheim California this month for the Paralyzed Veterans of America summit and expo. This annual summit is an intensive, three-day learning and sharing experience that provides the most updated and vital information, state of the art research, and emerging science, which can be put to immediate use in caring for individuals with spinal cord injury/disease, MS, and ALS.
Zijian Michael Huang presented an update on his ongoing research entitled “Wearable device platforms enabling researchers and developers to accelerate innovation in prosthetics, orthotics, and exoskeletons." Lindsey Morris, Lynn Worobey, and Randy Huzinec also gave a pre-conference presentation entitled “From Mainstream to Bedside: Using smart technologies to enhance patient care and participation.”
We are honored to be able to substantively participate in such an important annual event!
