Kacey Roehrich graduated this Spring with her master’s in rehabilitation technology from the University of Pittsburgh. She graduated with a bachelor’s in biomedical engineering and a minor in interdisciplinary disabilities studies from the University of Maine.
During her undergraduate degree, she was part of a project designing a pressure-alternating wheelchair cushion to reduce the incidence of pressure injuries. After graduation, she continued to research pressure injury prevention with the Tissue Integrity Management Laboratory at the University of Pittsburgh where she performed ANSI/RESNA standards on full body support surfaces before joining the Wireless RERC.
